A little boy. A lot of love.

There is something extra special about photographing a newborn when you've known his mama for years! I've known Alexis for such a long time, and getting to see her step into motherhood with sweet baby Bowen was such a joy. I've always felt like Alexis was called to be a mother, and I have no doubt she's going to be an incredible one. Bowen is one lucky little boy! We did his newborn photography session in the comfort of their home, and I could not have loved his nursery more. The Boykin spaniel theme was absolutely adorable, and every little detail was so thoughtfully put together. And of course, their real-life Boykin spaniel had to be part of the fun! What a sweet, well-behaved pup!

One of my favorite things about in-home newborn photography sessions is getting to capture families in the spaces they've so lovingly prepared for their babies. Bowen's nursery was especially beautiful, with the prettiest natural light pouring through the window. That soft, beautiful light made the perfect setting for capturing these first precious days with their new baby boy. I love that these photos will always remind Alexis of what life looked like when Bowen was brand new, right down to his sweet nursery and four-legged family member. Alexis, I am so incredibly happy for you and loved getting to capture this special season of your life!
