A peaceful evening.
I recently photographed the Woodall family during their annual fall family photography session, and it’s always such a joy to see them again. They’re a family of five with three children—two sons and a daughter—and I’ve been capturing their fall family photos for years now. This year we met at Glendale Shoals, a beautiful nature preserve near their home in Spartanburg, SC, where we’ve taken photos before. As a Spartanburg family photographer, I love getting to catch up with families like this and see how much their kids have grown—especially now that the boys are almost as tall as me.
Their youngest was a natural in front of the camera as always, and the whole family did such a great job. Toward the end of the evening, the brothers warmed up and started acting silly, which always makes for the best moments. Glendale Shoals was the perfect setting for this Spartanburg photoshoot, with soft fall light and peaceful scenery. I especially loved ending the session with their traditional family walking shot, a favorite way to wrap up another memorable fall family photography session.
